The World's Smallest Political Quiz

If you haven't done so before, try it out.... even the ultimate McPaper, USA Today, calls it "quick and relatively painless." Unless you really cling to your political identity.

Pretty interesting. I don't know that I agree with it 100%, simply because there are a lot more issues than just the 8-10 topics they surveyed. But I'll agree that it's quick and painless.

"USA Today = McPaper" - too funny!

Says I'm a centrist, which is pretty true, but where it had me closest to on the graph was interesting. I agree with Eric, there is SO many more issues that are not covered, but then again I wouldn't want to fill out a long, painful quiz anyway! :P

I know I'm Libertarian, because I've taken this before. One of the main reasons I vote Libertarian is because I think that it would be sooo much healthier for this country if there were THREE strong political parties (or more), but unless people actually start casting their vote for the third candidate, it won't happen. Of course, if the Libertarian candidate was a fruit cake, I'd vote for someone else. I'm not THAT desperate for a third party. :)

I'm liberal but I knew that. I agree with Eric because there are many topics where I am not alligned to being liberal.

The lack of depth is a drawback too...really, who DOESN'T want to cut their taxes by 50%? The issues aren't totally yes/no either. I like the quiz because it introduces the idea of more than "left" or "right" on the political spectrum. Many people describe themselves as socially liberal/financially conservative, so the quiz can help them feel like they're not politically conflicted. It's the labels that are screwed up, not their beliefs.

I hear ya, Cheryl, on Libertarians being nuts. The party has a nutcase-magnet stuck on it.

Big surprise there...NOT! :-)
